The world may not be coming to an end, but world-wide web sellers are coming to Denver on May 23 for an “invasion party.” The free “Denver Invasion Party 2012” offers a fun way for online sellers to exchange ideas and experiences beginning Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza hotel (one block up from the Sheraton). The “Invasion Party” promises an afternoon of networking, speakers, prizes, food and drink for the early bird “invaders” arriving in town for the “eBay On Location” (EOL) event that follows over the next two days.
The “Denver Invasion Party 2012” will be the first large gathering opportunity for online sellers and expert service providers arriving for the EOL event. It is a quick walk across the street and one block down from the Sheraton hotel hosting EOL. The free “invasion party” will run from 1:00 – 5:00 PM and includes speakers, prizes, snacks and beverages, with beer and wine served during the party’s finale.
Guest speakers will present throughout the afternoon, bringing fresh ideas and content to those invading Denver. These experts will mingle with guests between mini-sessions throughout the afternoon. Featured guests will include Denver locals Dixie Daly, on Creating Brands and Publicity; and Barb Tobias, the Thrift Talk Diva, on Thinking Right and Buying Right. Other speakers will include payments experts from Paypal; postal experts from Stamps.com; money matters experts from Outright.com. Social media experts will also be on hand, with Daly discussing the internet’s hottest social property, Pinterest. Emceeing the affair will be the hosts: tie-dyed skills trainer and eBay Hall of Famer “Uncle Joe” Adamson, and the host of the informative “RRB Radio.com” weekly seller podcast series, Melinda Jackson.
Prize drawings will be held throughout the day for cool free stuff. Eats and drinks are free, including the cocktail party finale. The whole thing is free!… but you have to know somebody… (or at least know the secret registration code to reserve a ticket).
